A senior delegation from the USA Bid Committee will join England, Russia, Japan, Australia, Holland-Belgium and Qatar at the Soccerex 2009 Global Convention.

This will bring the total number of FIFA World Cup bidding teams attending to seven, all presenting their proposals to the football industry stakeholders at the event.

Last month the Bid Committee released a study estimating that the United States would expect its economy to get a $5 billion domestic boost as a direct impact from being elected as a FIFA World Cup Host. Senior officials from the bid team will be at the Soccerex Global Convention to meet key FIFA Executive Committee members and keep the global media informed on the progression of their bid.

“We want to thank our friends at Soccerex for the invitation to attend the conference” said David Downs (Executive Director of the USA Bid Committee). “We welcome the opportunity to interact with the global soccer community on the eve of the official FIFA Final Draw as we promote the USA’s Bid to host the 2018 or 2022 FIFA World Cup™”.

The USA Bid Committee’s Board of Directors features some of the most influential people from the worlds of business and entertainment including Philip Anschutz (AEG), Don Garber (MLS), Landon Donovan (Football Player), Mia Hamm (Football Player), Drew Carey (comedian & game show host), Carlos Cordeiro (Goldman Sachs, Asia), Robert A.
